We’re organizing WordCamp Harare on 4th November, 2017 and, as with every WordCamp, we need volunteers. WordCamp Harare is a local gathering that is affordable to allow people from all walks of life to attend, meet, share, and learn.
Being a volunteer is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. And volunteering is important because without volunteers, WordCamp Harare wouldn’t be possible. It’s also a unique way of showing your support for the growing Harare WordPress community and getting involved with the WordPress project itself.
Help is needed for these tasks:
- helping at the registration desk
- handing out t-shirts
- introducing speakers (emcee)
- timekeeper to alert speakers
- running around with microphones (for questions at the end of each presentation)
AS A VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL:
- Get a free ticket to the event
- Be an essential part of the event on the day
- Spend quality time with the WordCamp organizing team
- Have the opportunity to meet speakers and sponsors
- Attend a volunteers’ dinner
